The course program will update participants on:

  • Genetic and epigenetic alterations; tumour dynamics and hallmarks of cancer;

  • Introduction to metakaryotic stem cells; biology and physiology of cancer cells;

  • Epidemiology and etiology of cancer;

  • Carcinogenic mechanisms and development of cancer;

  • Therapy of cancer: from conventional therapies to novel approaches.

Lectures: 60 mins followed by 30 mins discussion; 4 lectures/day

Total duration of lectures: 30 hours

Teaching language: English only

Audience

The course is aimed mainly at international post-graduate students (master and PhD students), young researchers, post-doctoral researchers, oncologists and University lecturers. However, the course is open to the entire international scientific community at University level. Previous knowledge on oncobiology is highly recommended.
